Zenkast

Privacy Policy

Effective: September 5, 2026

Zenkast TV is a media player for the Android TV platform. You use it to watch content from an IPTV subscription you have with a third-party provider. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what we do — and do not do — with it.

Short version: we don't collect personal information, we don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we don't track your viewing. The only data we handle is what's strictly required to pair your device with your account and route your requests to your IPTV provider.

1. What we do NOT collect

  • Your name, email, phone number, or address.
  • Your location or IP address for any purpose beyond routing your requests.
  • What you watch, when you watch, or how long you watch it.
  • Analytics, telemetry, advertising identifiers (GAID, IDFA), or behavioral profiles.
  • Device fingerprints or cross-app trackers.

2. What we do collect and why

We only handle information strictly necessary to run the player.

  • Your IPTV provider credentials. When you pair your TV, we accept the server URL, username, and password issued to you by your IPTV provider. We store them in a signed session token on your device (in secure app storage). We never share them with anyone other than the provider whose server URL you entered.
  • A short device pairing code. To connect your TV to your account, we generate a short code that expires after a few minutes. It's discarded after successful pairing.
  • Request logs. Our servers log request URLs and timestamps for standard operational purposes (troubleshooting, abuse prevention). These logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not linked to a user identity.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. Data we transmit:

  • Your IPTV provider. When you play a channel, movie, or episode, your device and/or our server contacts your provider's servers using the credentials you supplied. We are not affiliated with any IPTV provider and have no visibility into what they do with your requests.
  • Our infrastructure vendors. We use Vercel (hosting), Neon (Postgres database), and Upstash (Redis cache) to run our service. These vendors process request metadata only for the purpose of delivering the service and are subject to their own privacy policies.

4. Content and third-party providers

Zenkast TV is a player. We do not host, provide, or curate any channels, movies, or series. All content is delivered by the IPTV provider you signed up with, using credentials you entered. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any third-party IPTV service complies with applicable laws and the provider's terms.

5. Security

  • Communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS with TLS.
  • Communication between our servers and your IPTV provider may use HTTP or HTTPS depending on what the provider supports — most IPTV providers use HTTP. When possible, we upgrade to HTTPS at the server-to-server hop; when the provider only speaks HTTP, we forward requests over HTTP as-is.
  • Your session token is stored in your device's secure app storage and is not exposed to other apps.

6. Data retention and deletion

You can remove all your data from Zenkast TV by focusing the playlist chip in the top-right of the nav and choosing “Sign out & delete data”. This immediately invalidates your session and purges any cached data on our servers associated with your playlist.

If you no longer have the app installed or cannot access the device, see zenkastv.com/account/delete for the email-based request path.

Operational logs are automatically purged after 30 days.

7. Children

Zenkast TV is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, contact us at privacy@zenkastv.com and we will delete it.

8. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to processing. Because we hold effectively no personal data, most such requests are satisfied by deleting your account (see Section 6).

To exercise any right, email privacy@zenkastv.com. We respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll display a notice in the app the next time you open it.
